As it seems

...and it seems to me
That the trees sway like bees
That swarm over seas
Like a southern bound breeze
In the streets of the cities
Where the cars and the pleas
Of the people bound like fleas
On the roads and settees
Claiming life with more ease
As they sit where they please
Driving coffins with wheels
Down the lanes like hurried eels
And it feels
Like it seems,
Tainted roads, like oiled seas
That suck the life out of creatures
As they bleed and plant more seeds
To fill the need
To live and feed
Upon a life
Of constant greed
And profound strife
A sort of creed
Amongst them all
A manic breed
A charming tale
Far too gloried
And guaranteed
To make you read
Into obscene
Til scenes like these
That make you fall
To your knees
And wonder why
But then it flees
Count to three
And you'll see
It was never meant to be
We so ardently believe
We can all achieve our dreams
If we apply a salve or cream
Then the dust will all come clean
Like a door without a screen
Free to be
And live like queens
But every action opens seams
And spills the beans
Like ruptured spleens
Staining jeans
And army greens
We battle so hard
To free those dreams...
